I am trying to hook up my Xcal2 in my 05 v8, just wondering where I plug it into (location) and if I need to take stuff apart to get to it.

umm on my 2000 LS its right under the dash to the right of the steering column. i would expect to not move from year to year.

fyi - by law it has to be within 24" of the steering wheel (IB) and has to be accessed without removing anything.....
