Quick Center Vent Question

What is the difference between a 2000-2002 center vent w message center and a 2003-2006 center vent with message center other than that the 2000-2002 comes in black and 2003-2006 comes in silver? Are they interchangeable?

They should be interchangeable, except for the color. (I haven't tried it, so I can't say 100%)
