Quick 06 Online Manual question

Getting ready to put in new rear sway bar bushings. I have a question related to the picture in the online manual. What do those arrows mean? Are the pointing to the front of the vehicle?

I know I should know this but just checking...

And, I know I have to use a jack to lower the sub frame an inch or so, can i do one side at a time or does the whole structure need to come down on the jack? Does that question make sense?

I think it's just telling you that this is the part that you need to lower after removing the bolts.
I suspect that both sides need to be lowered the same amount at the same time.
