On the interior of my car towards the back where the brake light is, part of the carpet on the roof shakes, almost as if it is loose. Anyone have this issue? Or have any suggestions on how I should resolve it?

search... been discussed many times...

Most glue it or you can try heavy duty Velcro...

Good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. It's on my long list of things to repair.

Same, I didn't even think to search because I assumed I was the only one, or one of a handful. Apparently not!

Every problem you'll ever have is here... Just gotta find it

Ok well I tried to search this one out, and had no luck. My wife won't look me in the face anymore during... well you know. Any suggestions?

I dont think you really want someone to answer that....LOL.

I was able to pull the headliner down enough to find the factory "velcro patches." I tried the velcro route and eventually it just kept falling down so I used gorilla glue and basically just glued the damn thing to the roof and it hasn't moved since. As the glue dried, I took some stiff cardboard and wedged it between the rear deck and headliner to hold it up. I let it sit overnight and it hasn't fallen down since (about 3 years now).

as mentioned in all the other threads about this, the best repair is to get some heave duty velcro, and either use epoxy or heavy duty glue to hold the pieces of velcro where they need to go, do not put push the velcro together until the glue has had plenty of time to set (give it a day just to be sure), one glue it set, then push the two parts together and enjoy never having to deal with this again.

+1

Mine has held, using epoxy, for six years now even in Nevada heat.

i used gorilla glue on various places. just had to use different things to support it while it dried. nothing else i got seemed to work.

On my GEN I i actually drilled holes in one of the roof crossmembers and headliner and used Ford plastic push pin clips to hold it up. Worked great.
