question on turn sigal & break liights SOMETIMES not working

some times the flashers and turn signals work, some times they don't. mostly don't.

and now was told that back brack brake lights not working but top center one sorta works. this is on a 1993 mark 8


any idea's ... as in is there a known issue that causes it?
ya i know it could be a short, or bad switch.. but thought maybe there was something in common, to the 2?

I also have a 1994 mark 8, with a lot of parrts for sale off it.. and no I am not spending an hr of my time removing some 20$ part. or 3-4 hrs of my time for some 200$ part// but u r more then welcome to remove it yourself.
dog house is NO good.
do have driver front headlight.

Are you sometimes using the little lever on the left side of the steering column when the flashers sometimes work?

Sounds kinda obvious and I hate to ask - but have you checked to see if the bulbs are any good?

When you say the signals work/don't work - are the indicator lights on the panel working?

Are you hearing a buzzing/grinding sound from the signal stalk when you push on it to activate the signals?
