I bought new sparks plugs a while back, supposebly good ones or better than stock ones. Then my car starteck acting up and a few coils failed. Well the guy at ford said that the ls needed the stock motorcraft sparkplugs or it will damage the coils even if the spark plugbs are good, they had to be oem. I had to buyr new ones, I forgot to buy 8 to replace them all and i only bought 4 cause thats how many coils i changed. I left the motorcraft plug it came with in there and put in only 4 new ones. Well is the spark plugs story true? I doubt it but I dont want to go and mess my car either. Whats sparks are you running?

the spark plugs on are cars are pretty well made but it determines by brnd what they are "accusing" of being better than OEM, anybody can state they are better than factory cause no one forces them to show results. They could be worse or just not compatable for the LS plus typically when changing plugs you should also change coils cause when plugs are going out it's not too long before the coils do
NGK Iridiums, 1 heat range colder for the nitrous.
It doesn't matter what brand since the current draw is so close to equal. Add to that the fact there are numerous coil failures when stock Motorcraft plugs are installed. They are just a piss poor design and that's what causes them to fail.

I got NGK G-Powers. Sometimes the passenger side (which I changed VCG, Coils and Plugs) fires up faster than the driver side due to new ignition, you can really tell the difference if you dont change them all...
The motorcraft plugs have always had problems, look at the new 5.4's in the F-150's, the damn porcelin breaks when removing them so they had to make a special tool to remove the bastards. They may be OEM but they havnt really earned my trust yet. Go either Delco or NGK G-Power or up.
