I'm deleting my EGR/smog pump

Does the pump still need to be plugged in...or can I remove it completely and snip the harness?

You should be able to just unplug it and turn both off under the "switches" portion in the software, or who ever is doing the tune. I don't believe either has any impact on the multiplex system in the car.
I'm planning on eliminating both on mine as well.
I'd like to.get rid of the abs system also but that is tied into other things; I believe it could be removed but the electronics would have to stay.

I have the EGR turned off in the tune, not sure about the smog pump.

Why "snip" and ruin the harness? Just unplug it and tape the connector.

Everything having to do with both the AIR pump and EGR valve can be completely removed if turned off in the tune.

Because I'm attempting to be a picky neat freak without a bunch of useless pig tails hanging out in my car....

Weight reduction yo! LoL

My pump is still busted from the wreck, as it didn't magically heal itself, so that just came out

You will get a CEL if you don't shut off the EGR in the tune after deleting it, but I don't think the air injection will set a CEL at all. I got rid of the hardware in front of my crank pulley and the pump is still residing in my bumper unplugged and I don't have a CEL from it.

They really picked a great spot for the diverter valve. Geez, they should have known grandma might want to put underdrive pullies on her Lincoln.

Oh I know about the tube for the EGR, because ill have to also tune out my IMRCs and then play with the shift points a bit

Thanks for the heads up tho :) I'm already dreading the drive to Dallas to get her on the dyno, I'm certain it'll be spasmatically wonderful

I promise, that all I've been doing to this car, it will not accelerate slower than it did before
