Question for those with LSD

What is the difference between a Ford LSD unit that comes from the factory and one that comes from Ford Racing if any?

I have a 8.8 Ford Racing Trac-Lok and am not confident that it will give me the traction my car needs on slick roads (wet, icy, snow, etc...)

Any feedback would be GREAT!!!

Any posi or LSD or whatever you wish to call it that comes from ford uses the same basice design. There are however slight variations, you could get carbon clutches and stiffer S springs.
