i know i read a couple threads on this but can someone refresh my memory, i cant find the original thread. thanks
im doing some work under the hood, and i see that i have this hair line crack where a small amount of oil can leak..i dont know how much of a difference it can have, but im going to get some rtv sealant tomorrow and seal it up better. i see that most of us all have the same yellowish glue to seal that piece, but for me it was very brittle and a little came off.
my question is, how much of an affect can this little leak have? not alot of oil comes out, but its not a complete seal and i feel it should be. the inside of the valve cover it connects to is like a copper chore boy, like a filter. just trying to learn what this is all about, thanks
