Has everyone who done the newer trans swap into a first gen used the tccoa page to repin thier harness. I thought I remember someone saying that there was an incorrect diagram posted somewhere. Wasn't sure what diagram to go by. Thanks

the digram on tccoa.con is backwards, unless they fixed it,the correct one was on modulardepot. but seems to be missing now,if i find my printed out diagram i'll scan it to ya.

Thanks Jmiles.... I dont know why tccoa doesn't put a disclaimer or something I bet there have been a few people that screwed thier new trans with thier diagram...

I don't think it is so much that the diagrams are actually wrong, as it is one diagram is for the harness on the vehicle, and the other is for the plug on the transmission. Since the article is intended to be for people putting a 98+ transmission into a 97- vehicle this does make sense, but unfortunately for some it is not explicitly stated in the article.

The actual problem is that one picture is facing the connector, the other is the connector from the back, wires side. If you trace the wires, you'll figure this out. Verify 10 times !

Dont waist your time. Just get an MLPS from a gen one tranny and bolt it to the gen two, i know it will work. you can get a new one for like 40 bucks

The re-pin procedure is for the bulkhead connector on the transmission. I don't believe a simple MLPS swap will cut it.

yes,you do have to use a gen 1 mlps, plus you have to repin bulk connector and swap(or rewire if you choose) the shift solenoid ,otherwise the car is wired for 2nd gear only,no shifting,if you didnt have to do this you didnt get a newer trans like you thought.

Hey Moes.... Hate to bring this back up but this last comment.... Do i really need to change Shift Selenoids to 93??? I left the 04 shift selenoids in it and only have 2nd gear with no shifting.... But put a 93 tcc in it and as far as I can tell repinned it correctly...

no,i thinki mispoke there,i just looked at my old trans and it looks like ionly swapped the tcc,
but with your troubles you might consider swapping as much older electronics into the new trans as possible.

i have been looking for my printouts from when i swapped mine,i had the correct modular depot pinout and other very detailed swap instructions, and now i cant find them,if i do,i will send them to you.
