OK, wiring isn't my strong suit...
I have to replace the old Donnelly auto dim rear view mirror in the Caddy, before the dreaded purple goo escapes. I found a really nice one in the junk yard off of a 2000 Olds... I think it is a Gentex. It has map lights and a compass
I think this it the wiring schematic for the new Gentex - does anyone have AllData or can check it? The model number is GNTX208
1 Voltage in Run or Accessory - Blue
2 Ground - Green
3 Voltage supplied in reverse - Purple
4 Electrochromatic inside mirror unit positive - Brown
5 Electrochromatic inside mirror unit negative - Yellow
This is the stuff from the original Donnelly caddy mirror - all wires black
1 Electronics Ground
2 Battery, On at all Times
3 Courtesy, Grounded to Turn on Mirror Lights
4 Battery, Switched Through Ignition Key
5 Ground
6 Reverse, Battery Voltage when in Reverse
Any ideas on how they would line up? I was told the Gentex mirrors were used in 2000 era Lincolns as well.
Thanks - foxpaws
