Hope someone can help with this. My 2000 LS is over heating after water is forced from the cap of the overflow bottle due to high pressure. Anyone have any ideas? Ive followed the recommended bleeding procedures. Looked for leaks, changed thermostat etc….

You've got it backwards. The over heating is causing the over-pressure which is causing coolant to vent.

either the thermostat is gone (and not opening) or you have a pressure leak (cap not sealing, cracks in degauss bottle) and since it cannot maintain 7psi it is boiling too soon.

Yeah, he said pressure and I assumed high-pressure. Yes, low pressure could cause the car to over heat.
