Just got my pressure line for the power steering on my Mark. Lifted it up to go to it and EVERYTHING is soaked! The entire power steering pump is wet with fluid. So seeing as I can't see the pressure line from where I am under the car I am worried that it's possibly the pump and not the line that is leaking?

Anyone have this problem or knowledge of it cause I did a search and couldn't seem to come up with anything specific?

My PS pump was leaking at the shaft, because of lack of time off I had it done. The H pressure hose leaked also at the fitting when they reinstalled it, was replaced also. Rock Auto had the best deal for a rebuilt pump. Pressure line was local.

Well that is how oily it is under may car right about now. So instead I did the LCA bushings.

that high pressure fitting where it goes into the rack is a PITA
you cant put any "lateral torque" on the fitting or it will twist out of the rack.
dont ask me how I found this out.

Does anyone know if that bushing where the pic shows the rod going thru comes in the new LCA or is that a separate / additional bushing one has to buy when replacing the LCA's?

If your talking about the sleeve that the rubber bushing is on in the picture yes a new one comes with the kit from Autozone. Even the washers come with it. Only thing I had to re use is the nut.

Oh and I used KROIL on the nuts and they came right off with my cordless impact gun.

KROIL RULES:gr_hail:

There are several there a GM Pump doesn't mention it is rebuilt and a FORD rebuilt one. Also how hard is it to rebuild one? How do you know which line is which?

Here is a pic of my question:

That is a Lower Control Arm Bushing that I got from Autozone. Was pretty cheap but I don't remember what I paid for it as I got it last year or so?

It comes with everything that is between the strut rod and LCA. Washers, rubber bushings and sleeves.

So if you buy LCA's, do they come with all the bushings, including this one we are talking about?
