wats up everyone i had a big problem i been hearing my car power steering pump gettin louder and louder in the past couple of months. yesterday i started the car up and it was makin a loud winding noise and the steering was real hard and stiff when turning the steering wheel.. after a couple of miles the check engine light came on.. has anyone ever had the same problem?? ima disconnect my battery for a couple of hours to reset the ecu.. any ideas let me kno thanx

what year is the LS?
i got a 2003 ls v8.. i reset the ecu and no check engine light came on... when i checked under the hood i found that my k&n intake filter had came off.. so maybe that caused the check engine light.. and its weird but the steering feels soft and smooth again...

Did you check the fluid in the reservior? Sounds to me like you've got a slow leak.
