Power steering going in and out?

Ahhh, I see it. That's probably the case. I'm guessing it's not easy to get to it though. Would I need to tear the dash apart to get to the column?

Interesting. The tech manual I have isn't as detailed as what you gave. Thanks. I'll take a look at it tomorrow morning.

I wouldn't have purchased the manual if I had known about the site. I did a good bit of searching for a little while on this site and Google but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the link.

Pulled the shaft and took it to my mechanic to see what they thought. They collectively agreed that they can't work on it because it's designed non-serviceable and is actually a huge liability because it's a steering component. They pulled it apart for me anyway so I could see the problem. Is it obvious which side is good and bad? The bearings in the end cap on the bad side just fell out of the cap when he pulled it off.

Done. Finally.

Got the rest of the shaft in the mail yesterday and put in this morning. Took all of 10 minutes to put it in since the car was already up on stands. Took it for a quick drive and all is well.

Thanks for the help, LVC.
