Hey, all.
wanted to get a feedback on a little issue.
when I installed my aluminum intake, I used small plastic tubing (about 1-inch) to keep the intake tube from vibrating.
yesterday when I took it apart to clean the KKM filter I noticed the small tubing was gone. only place it can go is into the engine (I know that was stupid)
now, Im afraid that it got sucked into the engine.
maybe Im paranoid now, I smell plastic burning.
could this cause huge problem later on?
or would this plastic just burn off eventually?

so far, no sign of dysfunction of the engine or performance.

any input would be great.

thanks.

Was the tube inside the tube or outside? If it was outside the tube it probably fell into the engine compartment area. It's probably up against the mainfold or something. As for it being inside the tube it would have gotten stuck at the throttle body and you would not be going anywhere if that happened.

Yea, more than likely it feel somewhere in the engine bay. You would have probably noticed some type of problem not long after.

its prolly up against the manifold getting hot and burning.. have u looked around for it? or under the car for that matter?

it's prolly not going to cause much problem except a bad smell, eventually it should go away.. its kinda like sparying tire wet on ur engine bay to make it look cleaner..

**this is all an assumption and not to be taken as an expert advise***

just covering my rear...

thanks guys.
but I dont think it could have fallen out to engine bay.
only place it could go is into the engine.
hmm... myabe it fell off when I was taking the tube apart.

anyway, at least I would know what caused it if my engine dies.

pray for me...
