As the title says, i'm interested in one that is for sale in my area. Super clean, one owner, dealer serviced throughout it's whole life, and the owner followed the service manual to a T, in terms of what is shown on the carfax, take a look and tell me what you think. Only concern I really have for it is it's a V6, and not the V8. What's the opinion around here about the reliability of the V6, versus the V8? Also, the price seems a bit high, what's your opinion on that?

Too high, in my opinion.
If you really want an LS, hold out for a 2005 or 2006 V8. Many, many improvements were made.

if your even a little concerned about getting a v6 instead of a v8, dont do it.

you'll always wish you had waited and gotten what you wanted in the first place. plus for not much more, you could find yourself a 2nd gen V8 and be a lot happier...

If it was a clean V8 I'd take it for that price. Being it's a V6 I'd pay $3,500.

Here is my advice. Save up enough for an 05/06 like Joegr said. Then don't buy one, and save up half the purchase cost in surplus. Then buy it and keep the extra cash for maintenance.

If you want an 02' then that repeat same process, but enough so you can purchase the vehicle three times.

You will thank me later.

you will wish you had the extra horsepower but the v6 has less issues than the v8 now if I was you I will get a little more cash and get a gen2 03+

yep, I agree, the GEN 1 cars are trouble. Go for a later model and save yourself some pain.
