Are Mark 8's suppose to have posi at wot? Mine does, and from what the previous owner told me the rear was never touched? It was my first time doing a burnout put it in first and gave it some gas, my friend watched it he told me 1 went then the other, that was at mid throttle he said at wot they both went andkept going until I let off then 1 went? Does this sound right? When I race my friends 5.0 tonight we went back and there were 2 posi marks 1 from me and 1 from him so this isent some fluke, idk whats up?

You have an open differential, it lays down two strips when on level surface.

They will catch on the right surface but until you drive a car with a rear in it... you have no idea

These days the word "posi" is a genericized trademark for a limited slip..

Lift both rear wheels off the ground (after chocking the front wheels of course,) throw the car in neutral and turn one wheel. If you're turning a wheel one way and the other doesn't turn/turns in the opposite direction, it's an open differential. Which it is anyway unless the gnomes sneaked into your garage at night and replaced the carrier with an LSD.
