Popping Noise

06-08-49-005 TSB Snap/Pop Type Noise Coming from Instrument Panel or Windshield Area (Modify IP Retaining Slots and Replace Mylar Tape) February 16, 2006

Have had 2007 CTS 1 week and this seems to be what is happening. Can not make it happen when at dealer, but sounds like a big rock hitting the windshield. Any ideas?

Being it's under warranty - do NOT do anything.

Print that TSB out and take it to your dealer. Let the do the work and keep complaining.

Trust me, after working for a Chevy dealership, if you touch ANYTHING that would of been under warranty, you just lost any type of warranty you would of had on it.

Thanks for the info, absolutely not touching a thing and am a very persistant complainer. Will do, re bringing TSB with me when I go in again. Anyone else having this issue?

TSB was exactly what was wrong, fixed by dealer and happy with car again. a lot more mylar was required than the TSB stated.
