Poping fuses with brake lights, new multi switch installed

Have you checked where the trunk wiring harness runs along the drivers side trunk hinge?

check that out.. the carpet rubs against the wire loom and cuts the wires.

On my 95 there were 4-5 wires that were cut.

Yeah I just checked mine last weekend, four were broken. Fixed 'em and now my trunk light works again and the remote trunk opener works. I wrapped the h*ll out of them so I hope it will last for a while now.

Also if you've checked these things out and it's not them, check to see if the recall was done for brake pressure switch. It's on the same fuse as the BOO switch. It could be a sign it's on it's way out...

what year? if its a gen II Unplug the neon and then try it.
