Service Engine Light went on the other day. I used my scanner and the code was PO 442. Evaporative leak - small leak.
I had just filled up with gas the previous day, so I removed, tightened up the gas cap and use the scanner to erase the code.
Prayers excluded, I think it will eventually go back on.
My first question is can a gas cap go "bad"? In which case I will replace it and reset the code again.
More concerning to me is I had my fuel pump changed a few months back. They also installed a new fuel filter. Is there anything involved in those repairs which could have caused or triggered a lead somewhere?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mike
