please help no idea how to remove solenoid body harness electrical connector

i can not even get a socket on it to get it off does anyone know if it is a 10mm or not i understand what to do after getting it off
i do think one day i will find an auto manufacture that makes preventive maintenance a consideration for the owner :

I actually cut a box end wrench to get to it. Took me forever to get it off but it worked. I think it moved maybe an 1/8 of an inch at a time but it will come off. I can't remember what size it was though.

I actually used a stubby wratchet wrench, works pretty good, it's 10mm by the way

Since 'solenoid' is generic and ubiquitous, you'll have to give us a bit more information!
