my blower motor kinda quit working. It blows air but very very little (on high only). Is it a vacum problem??? i say that because at times it will blow air like it is suppose to when im driving it but for only a second. is there a fix for this???

yea i tried that already. i tried tapping the motor with a hammer. nothing worked. i traced the vacum lines nothing. could it be the bolwer motor speed control switch??

I agree with you that it is an electrical issue. Ground? Short? Switch? All good possibilities. Verify the switch w/ a wiggle test and you are off to a good start. Keep us informed on your progress. Who knows when a fellow board member may log in, that had the same issue.

IIRC $42 from the dealer. Super easy to do. Just flip the door all the way down, unplug old and plug in new. I did it right in the dealer lot in a minute to make sure it was the right one.

I tried to just tighten the terminals and it didn't last.

Yes. In the link above the 2nd pic clearly shows the harness that I replaced. Plugs into the motor and into the what I assume is the speed controller. That was my problem and appearently popular if a tech was written on it.

mine had been doing that for a while now........went out to buy the harness the other day, the old harness had the metal tabs melted on to the black connector that goes into the blower motor  , so the problem wasnt the tabs.......it was the wires that were exposed from the dried plastic and rusting off........and not making contact..........

hmmm, another overheating wire(s) issue in a ford.......... :shifty:

anywhos..........

part # F3LY18C629A...........

i got mine for $18.........

hmmm i might need this, since today when it was raining like hell and dropped 20 deg in 20 min, all the damn roads were flooded and with the window fogging up and the blower on the fritz, it would kick on for a min then off then on, on off, on , off............yea needless to say it was a fun 42 miles of hell!!!!!!!!!!!!
