Hello all...have to admit I have been lurking for a piece but now its time to properly announce my arrival.

Name is Shawn...call sign "Zrxinch"
Just sold a beautiful VW Jetta wagon and set my priorities straight by finding a nice piece of American iron.

Paid $4700 and I believe I got the better end of the bargain... 101k and she does have her issues..cop,hydraulic cooling fan actuator, front shocks, sagging headliner in back, upper ball joints(I know I know the 19s don't help) but she is sporting "LS-C" badges...very hard to find info on this factory option in 2001...supposedly a unicorn..but to be honest...all her flaws and I still LOVE this car!

you bought an LS right? 2001?
well there is a reason the LS-C is hard to find. its not real!

the LSE is an option on an LS, but an LSC is a Mark VII and Mark VIII thing. someone added the C for whatever reason.

but anyway.

I am still unsure if it was a factory option or not.. I am aware of the Mark VII and Mark VIII LSC and have found tons of info on those LSCs...but zip on a 2001 LSC option...soooo I am leaning towards the whole rebadge idea...except for this... ....

Looks like I am not the only one out there...funny thing though...is it the same car? I bought mine in San Diego which is only 86 miles south of where his was back in 2007.. mine has 19" silver DUBS not black rims and it has the stock 6 disc alpine not a double din DVD...doesn't mean the prev owner didn't pull it out and put stock back in..


Doesn't really matter though..love the car LS or fake LSC or even real (factory) LSC...already having a blast driving and troubleshooting all the quirks.

Edit...think I just figured it out..can you say aftermarket body kit...

may have been a dealer option of some kind.
the one you linked had an aftermarket Wings West spoiler and such.
but it isn't something Ford made.

Welcome to LvC. There's definately no LSC model of the LS. You care has the Wings West body kit on it, which is one of my favorites. The one in the link looks sharp with black wheels....bust out the plasti-dip and have at it!
