Plate Ideas

Well its getting time to renew my license plate and I've always wanted to get a personalized plate, here's what I've came up with:

Thoughts on this idea would be good

Any input and ideas would be great also.

ironically I snatched these off a CTS-V that rolled on I-94 last week when I was working..I always joked with my friends that I was going to get plates that said "not old" since they call my car a grandpa mobile..but these work even better!

I'm aiming for a plate that no one has, like my idea above I've never seen but I'm unsure if I want it, that's why I turned to you guys for ideas and opinions.

And yes the reflection is Ford world headquarters

Yeah. We can have 8 letters here in NC. And only rear plates, no fronts.

I like the first one and yeah, you would have to be almost a long time member on LVC to even get the other one.

I got the first one from a girl I used to date back in 2001 or so who had a '99 FWD Cougar. Her tag said "NVMYCAT". That was just 7 letters. It works with Mark too. I don't think anyone could actually "envy" one of those imitation Cougars (I called it a Contour coupe), but to each his/her own

When I refurbished the lights I stuck them inside. You can see the little wires coming out.

That looks cool as heck! I would like to find some of those "light pipes" like Audi uses that look like tubular strips of light in their headlights. I think some Fords and Lincolns are using them now. You don't see the individual "dots" of light like with LED's. But either way looks really nice. I like LED's on just about anything


Something like this would look awesome on a Mark.

I got them from FYREFLYS $12. for 2 12" strips. They are hooked up for DRL's and people notice and don't run into you. On the PU I stuck them on top of DRL's and you cant see them when their off. I'm going to mount them on the bumper under the headlights on my 95.

Put them on the housing, underside front edge.

This pic turned out blurry but both were taken with my phone and it's not set for night shots.

I removed mine when I swapped over to the LSC housings and once removed, they don't stick again. I have two new pairs of "side shiners" 24" that can be cut to fit. When they're turned off, you can't even see them on there.

I was toying with changing my screen name to that, its kind hard when you have had the same one for 12 years. But I like that!

I would also have to wait till I drop in the 13's before I can get that. I don’t even know if I'm in the 14's. Haven’t raced in 7 years

I could have gotten my username on here "KEVIIIN" as my plates since it was available..but decided against having my name on my car, just got firefighter plates instead. I did however come up with plates for my friend Steve who used to own a trailblazer ss, it started as a joke but he actually went and ordered them lol

Got it cos I got tired of people saying "Dude, I *love* your car! What the hell is it?"

Mark VIIIs are *very* uncommon up here in Montana. Which is a shame, cos the speed limit is 75 (used to be NO speed limit, but too many out-of staters started getting killed being stupid on roads they didn't know) and the cops give ya 5, so I cruise at 80 getting 27-30mpg and telling the Subaru treehuggers to bite me. :lol:
