Bloomed last night in our backyard.
My son shot these.
He also shot a time lapse series that will take a little longer to arrange.

5 blooms last night and 8 tonight.
I'll try to get a better pic of the 8 in the morning.
It looks like we are in for an 11 to 13 bloom night in a couple days!

I am in the process of growing some cacti actually. They are about the size of a pin head right now.

Growing cacti and raising a tortoise both require patience and both will probably outlive us!
We are doing both.... and loving it!

I've always wanted to get one of those. Some asian guy always sells them out of his van outside of walmart by my house.

This was early this morning.

My son is here tonight, so he can get better pics of tonight's blooms.
It looks like 8 more tonight.

After the flowers drop off, the pollinated ones leave behind a fruit.
I'll post follow up pics of those once they develop.

Actually, never liked cacti.. but these are really impressive!
