pioneer avic f700bt navigation

ok... maybe I had a lemon.... but the one I put in my girl's car sucked hardcore!!!!! We ended up getting her a D3

the F would lock up the ipod, start turning the map around when stopped at a light, take weird made up routes, and the blue tooth sounded like a can on a string!

The D (we both have one now) is much crisper on the phone, doesnt mess with the ipod, and always knows where we are

really?!

that's discouraging! but thanks there's nothing like a hands on experience or advice from someone that has some...so u say D3 I thought it was supposed to be upgraded...anybody else got any good suggestions?

i think the D3 is done... they might hae a d4 out or on the way. The Z series owns everything, but costs a bunch!!!!!

The Avic F700 had a lot of problems with lag and other issues so they came out with a firmware that took care of the issues (Video by Pioneer on Youtube for comparision of Update and Without). It is suppose to be the bomb like tick tick now! Will this fit in a 97 continental? Crutchfield says no but a few other sites say the Conti is double din and it will....

hmmm

lol he said bomb like tick tick lol. well I heard about the firmware upgrade. did pioneer address it or do we have to find the firm ware...the only other gripe I have about the unit is that it doesn't have DVD playback even though I can only watch it parked but I still want to parking lot pimp other than that I think its a good buy. been checkin out a lot of different units . I think cruthfield says no because they won't give info on cars the have not fully researched. same w/the MKVIII

DVD playback as in playing while you drive? There are also ways around that if it's what you meant. Check youtube :) a lot of good stuff on there regarding the unit.

oh excuse me

what I was sayin was the F700 doesn't have a DVD drive the F900 does but im trying to save a buck...I was checkin out the Valor NVG 606W it has the DVD option but I don't think it has bluetooth. and has inferior watts per channel..the 900 has it all though for a couple hundred more dollars
