Pioneer Avic D1 Installed, no sound from speakers?

scratch that, i picked up one with a smaller screen but itll do exactly what i want, refurb for 330 bucks, im selling the avic for more then that so itll be a nice trade off

be careful with refurbs. sometimes the problems come back. and the stock crap i was refering to were yes the speakers and the amp. as already said you can get just as much power off the better head units. which head unit did you decide on.

FYI, if you bypass the stock amps and run a set of $50 Rockfords or Pioneer co-axials off the new decks power it will sound 30x better then the stock amp and speakers being driven by an aftermarket deck.
The JBL system can only do 21 watts RMS per channel, the Pioneer can do 22 rms per channel. The stock JBL amps have an eq in them thats calibrated for the stock decks output, doesnt work well with aftermarket decks.

Yea, What he said.
I've done a couple of systems in the Marks. It's actually not that hard. In my systems, I take the factory tweeter boxes in the doors, remove the tweeter, (which is not really a tweeter, just a little 3" speaker). The Mark sounds much better with any type of component system. For me, I use Digital Design for my subs, amps and components, and an Avic X910BT head unit.
