Pillar Pod project comming

Put a pressure gauge on the degas cap. Now that would be useful on these cars!

Got the pillar gauge pod today in like expected condition thanks to Alex! I have decided on a volts gauge and the quarts clock that I have already ordered and should have by Friday. That said I should have the install done on Saturday sometime. I will post progress pics from start to finish then.:D

LSK's write up mentions drilling a bolt hole into the pillar and securing it with a bolt thats included.

My pod has a bolt hole :shifty:

I'll try it and see if it holds up on it's own...if it does, i'll fill in the hole before i paint

Mine has two holes. Im going to use two self tapping screws and see if that works.

oh, interesting, i read on here somewhere that it was a direct replacement

It appears to be as far being molded in the shape of the factory pillar plus the pods of course. But there is no hardware behind it. It is like a shell with no clips. It has to be mounted through pre drilled holes on the front of it. I will take pics when I am done.

ah okay, I thought they had the clips. but if you just get some screws and paint them grey won't notice them that much

As promised some pics of the Pillar pod gauges installed.

Looks very nice Reaper! Looks good with the green lighting, matches the dash lights very well. 235,000 miles on that thing? Damn!

Thanks HIte! I love it. And yeah 235,8xx and coutning. I drive alot but I also take care of things as they break. I would drive this LS anywhere. For the miles it looks better than most I see with less miles around here. The gauges add a unique look to the car that you dont see on very many. It looks real cool at night when im driving. Its quite possibly one of my favorite mods. THANKS ALEX!!!!!!
