Always been a big fan of the W211 E-Class, but I would've gone with a post-facelift year as a lot of the bugs have been worked out by then. Great car nevertheless.

bought it from a private seller.

500's are nice. The 55's have more umpf to them though. But for a cruiser, the 500 will do. Just don't expect a lot of engine aftermarket for the 500's. 55, yes. 500... not so much.
