I had a few people ask about what/how I was doing on the sub enclosure.. My origanial plan was to have the sub on one side and the amp on the other.. My plans have changed because now I am going to be running a 12 and a 15.. :D Well when I pay for it next month..

I know that I still need to put more layers on and also may need to re-do the edges.. My first time screwing with glass and I don't think it has turned out too bad so far.. It was a quick lay down and pull out so I didn't need to smell the resin when driving with my new exhaust..

How they would look in the the trunk.. Left on the left and right on the right

They go up to about the wheel wells.. I'm glad someone posted about audio or I would have totally forgot about this project.. I'll try to work more on it and get it done soon..

I'm not sure but I don't think it's a good idea to mix sizes, not sure why but I think I have heard something about it doesn't sound too good. I'm sure someone will clarify it though.

I think people have mixed 12s and 15s.. The 12 to hit the higher bass and the 15 to hit the lower.. I would have some kind of frequcency filter on them so they both don't hit at the same time if it sounds bad.. ;)

I can see were your coming from and suggestions are always welcome

Nice. And the winter projects begin

Nice work there dude.

However I agree with the other poster, just stick with two twelves, there is no such thing as a larger sub hitting lows more than a smaller, or reversed.

Well.. Scjmc had an extra Kicker 15 he was going to sell me.. So that's why I was going to go that route.. My MTX does hit some pretty lows right now.. Like the post above, do you think ( in your opinion ) it would sound bad with one 12 and one 15?

And thanks

People just dont do it..Its like mixing 3 different brand subs in the car audio world..Get a low tuned ported box and you should hit the lows just fine..Make sure ur amp has a sub sonic filter on it though..And go dual 12's or 15's.

P.s. I HATE the sound out of ported boxes (majority of them tuned to spec)..I've tried a few and hated them all. .02

That's what it looks like right now.. The idea of the custom boxes is so that I can still get to the battery, spare, etc.. I'm still going to buy the 15 but now Idk what to use it for.. lol

Fast.. DONT mix match sizes.. either go with 2 12's or 2 15's.. Either of those options will hit cleaner and harder than mixing em.. And freq is not an issue here.. both of those subs are able to hit freq below human hearing range. Naturally the 15's are gonna hit lower and louder. The 12's are gonna give u that back thumping bass. Pick ur poison.

I am watching this because I was wanting to mix sizes as well. I have a 15 now that pounds at the low end, but isn't great above about 50hz. I listen to a lot of rock, so I was going to add a 12. I had 2 12s before, but was wanting to do something differant.

07CVR152. If you pay shipping I will send it to you if you wanna try it first. For the 12 I was looking at new infinitys. They have a 12 that only requires 1 CU FT in a sealed enclosure.

I'm thread jacking my own thread.. lol

Did you try running it without a filter on it?

I only have the crossover in the amp. If I turn it off the sub sounds wierd (as you may expect) but it can be heard from great distances.
