1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC with 83K miles on it. I got it from a friend of MsM8tress and went to Ohio to get it. The car had the transmission rebuilt 7,000 miles ago and has all receipts of work done to it from the last owner. The car needs a blend door motor which I will buy and replace myself. All of the power options work and the interior is very clean.
Plans for the car include Kooks headers and full exhaust, 4.10 gears, Denny's driveshaft, a T-Lok and a higher stall converter. I fixed the cupholder this afternoon and brightened up the headlight housings a bit since they were very cloudy. I'll be taking a buffer to them soon to complete the job. For $2,000 it was a steal.

I haven't even had tome to clean it up yet, it is still dirty from the trip.

Good lookin car. Cup holder\ash try isnt even broken. Whats the deal with the wrong floor mats though?

The guy had something happen the the LSC mats and could not find another black LSC mat, hence the Mark VIII mats instead. The one original LSC mat is in the trunk.

Wow! That is a killer deal, very nice. Those are the wrong wheels to are they not?

I wanted that car but too far of a drive for me and I never have off of work. Great deal dude take care of her.

Nice .. Welcome back to the Mark VIII owners club ... car looks like it need a road cruise to next years Beach Party ...

I had vacation a week after the party this year. I will try to make it up there next year.

I drove from northern Virginia to get it, about 420 miles. I've driven far for all 3 of my Mark's. The 96 I originally had I drove over 800 miles for, the 94 I drove 300. This one was well worth the drive for me.

Sorry, I am still learning all the little details on these cars. I has just thought the 97-98 LSCs only came with the 10 spokes.

That I knew but thought the LSC was 10 spoke only. Thanks for the help and straightening me out.

I ordered the blend door motor today, cost a little over $43 and should be here in the next day or two. I should be able to knock it out next Sunday and have air conditioning instead of just heat.

If you have that all apart Id try and replace the heater core too just for insurance.

make sure you re-inforce the blend door acuator....there are tech articles on it...killer buy though.welcome.

the heater cores rarely go bad on these things. i wouldn't worry about it.

If you spend enough time, or enough miles the experience will tell you that these heater cores are no different than any other heater core.

They DO and WILL fail.

mine died somewhere between 200K and 250K

Worst part about it's failure was, it happened right AT the 1320 mark..and filled the car with hot coolant fumes while I was tryin to get the car "whoa'd down" with a fogged up windsheild.

It happen'd so fast my first thought was "the hood blew up" because instantly I couldn't see..
Took 3-5 seconds before my brain put all the peices together.

If your doing a blend door, THAT is the perfect time to put a heater core in the car (<--experience speaking)
