Washed her up today and decided to take some pics,

I bought it totalled with 56,805 on the speedo. It was to good to go to the junk yard so I decided to challenge myself and fix it. The car came with a pack of reciepts of everything ever done to the car. It was bought from a local dealer and the little old couple had it till 98. They guy they sold it to had it for 8-9months and totalled it. In totalled form it was sold to the bar owner where it was totalled she thought it was an easy fix. Ha. She got a $5000 estimate. I got my hands on it from her. Frame was bent bad from a cross the front hit that took the bumper clean off the front of the car. I bought a donor car, swapped the frame in and replaced nearly everything in the process. The frame and most suspension parts have been POR-15 painted. All brake and fuel lines are replaced with stainless steel ones that were made off the old lines by Classic Tube. All the body biscuits are new, very hard to find. The front suspension is all Moog, bushings, inners, outers, sleaves, ball joints, idler, etc. New KYB shocks. Complete brakes, lines, wheel cylinders, calipers, rotors, drums, hardware and all. New gas tank and sending unit. New radiator, all hoses, belts, etc. New head gaskets on up, complete tune up including new injectors. New steering pump and hoses. New speedo cable, U-joints, trans filter and gasket. New duals from the cats back with Magna-Flows(can't here them). All new e-brake cables. It goes on and on. It aligned fine and drives like a new car. Runs good also. Just need to do a few misc things yet. Repaced all the A/C seals and replace the dryer, but it appears the compressor is leaking, so I plan on getting to that someday. Exterior I just need a few misc things. I will be painting it in a year or two. The pass fender and front bumper are a bit shooty but good enough for now. When it comes time to paint I'll be perfecting the little things.

It was alot of work, enjoy the pics.

Why do all this work to a Town Car? It just was to nice to be junked.

Excellent Looking Town Car, are you going to get it painted or just the fender?

I do my own painting, been a few years thou.

I'll be painting the entire car Black again, no pin strips. It looks decent in the pics, but the paint is pretty beat.

Man, once ahe is one color she is gonna look even sweeter. That is a nice ride man.

Looks nice, your right, no TC that clean (especialy on the inside) should be junked.

Thanks everyone. The car is really been a cool toy. I dug up some of my old cassette tapes and sure enough the tape deck works fine too. I've only put about 350 miles on it so far since last Aug when it hit the road, parked the winter of coarse. It is our grocery getter literally, we use it to go shopping, trunk is huge. The interior and just overall good condition made the decision to save it easy, and the decision to do it right easy also.

Very nice car, the interior looks clean. My best friends dad had an 83 TC, and he had it since new. The car was rear ended by a Lincoln Continental in 2001, and was considered a total loss, even though the car was driven home. Good luck with the TC I hope you get it painted, and PIMP that thing out.

Going to turn 58k soon, going to get parked real soon for winter. Put about 900 on this year 1200 since back on the road. Still for the most part the grocery getter. Bummer the tape deck eats tapes sometimes.
