Pics of mounted ballast HID conversions?

Anyone happen to have some pictures they could post on how they mounted their ballasts when you did you hid conversion please? I have my lights out and the old ballasts out...I just need to make up a wiring harness and mount the new ballasts some where....appreciate any pics you might have..thanks

What year of mark 8 do you have? If it's a 97-98 read my post and it will save you some trouble.

i've got a 98 mk viii gen 2 housing....do you happen to have a link handy?..thanks for the reply

got to have a little wood, a drill and some screws. And some type of tape to protect the wood. I used aluminum tape.

Or you can use 1 of the existing bolts in that area for simplicity.

Make sure you take out the voltage multiplier. If you don't you'll burn up your hid relays or ballast if you hook directly up to the stock wires.

thanks for the pics...wow that is bizzare tho..because I pulled out the stock ballasts today and ran a voltage meter to the connectors the plugged into the factory ballasts and both the left and right side were right at 12 volts.....guess mine is different than yours

Wierd thing on mine. I had my ignitor go out so I had to bypass it. I have my balist/ignitor just ziptied in the same spot sb has hit screwd too.

Mine are behind the grill.

I put mine behind the grille also. I thought that would be good for cooling.

I forgot about rain getting in there. I hope they are waterproof.

High beams are behind the grill, low beams behind the housings.

On mine I mounted them behind the headlight housing... They are nice and comfortable there.
