Until you figure it out why don't you stop "pulling on" cars. You are going to keep getting beat. You will get more and more frustrated causing you to drive more recklessly until someone gets hurt. If we're lucky it will just be you and they'll have to change the name of the town to 999 Oaks.

Depending on the year of the WRX I'm guessing it wasn't really racing if you had 2 car lengths on it. Even the non STI version did 0-60 in around 6 seconds I think. But I could be way off, just something I thought I read before.

the two car lengths, would account for the delay in time it took for the other guy to figure out he was in a race and the time for the boost to spool up!
they are much lighter, and around the same horsepower, plus the boost will eat you up on the high side(hell, with AWD, he will eat you up on the low side too)

freeway is alot different than quater mile and its a bone stock 2004 wrx and yes he was racing because i know the kid and it was for money, and i didnt loose i simply pulled to 120 and let off and hit my blinkers for the win because i was already ahead, and im not blaming it on the limiter because at 120 i hit my flashers for the win and called it done you can ask him from 40 up the v8 takes a 2.0 on 16lbs 227horse.....plain and simple he doesnt make as much power as i do
