PCM Compatibility

Hi,

I need a new PCM for my 2001 Lincoln LS V8. Current number is 1U7A-12A650-EHB. Will any which start with 1U7A-12A650 work?? What about a - HA or -HB?

When they were making the PCM's, what changes did they make from model to model given the same package? I have the following for reference for Sport Packages models: 1U7A-HA, 1U7A-HB, 1U7A-ZA - will any of these work for my replacement?

You are highly unlikely to get usable information from anyone except a very talented and very nice dealer parts guru. The one that was excellent to the forum folks retired a while back.
Manufacturers just don't release information like that. So the only thing we can assume would work is a donor from the same year, engine and transmission setup. Anything else is a crap shoot.
