PCD Performance Chip

The LS doesn't use a "chip". That's your first clue that it's garbage without me even having to click that link.

WOW! 50 hp increase, and 3-4 mpg, that is more than an experienced profession tuner can get.

Snake oil. :bsflag:

Go with an SCT. Those dont work.

Second best investment I've ever made. I bought two of them and got triple the performance numbers they talk about on the website! :D:D:D

I'm on a roll today! Anyone familiar with these chips? They have dyno #'s of cars using this chip & it doesn't appear to be the cheap resistor chip that is all over Ebay.

In all seriousness...
It is a cheap resistor. Look at their installation instructions. It splices in between two wires to the IAT sensor. It just makes the engine computer think the air temperature is different than it really is. It won't help at all.
As for the dyno numbers, that's going to be one of two things.
1. It could just be fraud.
2. It could be real, but notice that it isn't before/after numbers. It's dyno numbers compared to the factory spec. It's not unusual at all for the measured numbers to be higher (or sometimes lower) than the factory spec. It all depends on the test conditions, the accuracy of the dyno, and factory variance from one engine to the next.

My buddy bought this for his hunk a junk pontiac sunfire and yeah it's just a resistor have a bunch sitting in my college tool box that I used in 1st year I can sell it to you for Hallf off!! jk but yeah
