PATS light ?

2006 LS
Car starts.
PATS light then blinks rapidly and then stops.
PATS light then blinks once and pauses and the blinks six times. This is repeated for about 5 minutes and then it too stops.
Car runs fine. New battery installed 5 days ago by dealer. No codes present.
Any ideas?

Code 16 indicates a communications issue between the cluster (where the PATS function is) and the PCM. The few cases of it that I have heard of worked out to be a bad PCM relay or corroded relay socket. I'd start by checking the relays.

Put a new PCM relay in. Probably should've hit the socket with some contact cleaner. Time to sit back and wait.

The new relay seems to have solved the problem.
