So my rear door just stopped working one day and it finally started pissing me off enough to try and fix it. I have the black cover piece off and when i open and close the handle i can see the wire moving with the handle. Also when i have the handle in the open position and i press on the cable it is tight. One main question i have is does the wood grain panel come off easily or at all. Contemplating on just breaking it off if not, ill just find that piece from one of these parts cars. there is nothing i can do to remove the door panel since the screws are hidden by the seats and rear wheel well. Any ideas, help would be appretiated.

Side question, is there a latch to bring the rear seats down. The driver side rear is unlocked and is basically flapping in the wind. I looked but maybe i didnt look hard enough. thanks

Might be a dumb question but did you check to see if your seat belt is jammed in the door?

I get mine stuck from time to time like that messing with the car seats.

Sometimes when we get to where we are going the kids quick pull the belts out and fly out the door and slam the belt in the frame. That gets the doors hung up and it takes quite the bit of force to get them open.

Pisses me off and I barely take them in the Lincoln now.

It dont open from the outside either I assume?

ok so i found some threads from decibel5, guess im screwed.

jw- yeah doesnt open either way, no kids either. Since i have had the car i think that door has been open maybe five times in 2 years

edit: i like your location
