My wife came into the room and we tried really hard to be 'fair' or 'middle of the road' so to speak. I couldn't. Dem-bad, Rep-good is all I could come up with. Went something like this. Dems want us to surrender in Iraq. (Not good) Dems believe in abortion. (No,no no, that's bad). Dems want to majoritize a permanent entitlement social class. No,no,no, that's bad too.) It went like that to be honest. He'd have gotten an "F" for sure.
In the end, he was told he had to come up with his own comparisons. We both bailed.

EVERYONE: It's close to crunch time for this election and everyone's getting a little testy, including me. Things are getting way too personal and it's bleeding into far too many threads. I prefer spirited, intellectual debate, not grade-school, "I'm not backing down", "no you're a so and so" comments. I could get that kind of juvenile behavior on Sherdog. I don't even visit the forums there anymore, I just check out the articles. Please don't make this place the same. At the end of the day we're all still Americans (well, most of us are). I do tend to be harsh on newbies to this forum who come in dropping bombs instead of feeling the place out a little thinking they can troll and go, that's one of my short-comings. I'm working on it, though.

Yeah, but about 20% of the city is still without power thanks to Hurricane Ike. So it's kinda mixed.
I don't think I've ever been one to call him a Muslim, but even if I were, would it be wrong to ask that question or to follow up the unusual bits of information that have trickled out from his past? Let's be clear, Obama has yet to receive the scrutiny and adversarial tone from the media that Palin has, despite being a Democrat front runner for over a year.
However, if I started saying that Michelle Obama was carrying another man's child, that his daughter had a drinking problem, and that Obama was sleeping with his wife's sister, then I hacked his private e-mail and posted it on a high traffic website with an agenda- you might then see a similar pattern.
And yes, I have seen similar things about Obama in blogs everywhere - not in the 'legit' press - is there a lot in the 'legit' press about Palin sleeping with her husband's brother (I think that is how that would translate). I try very hard not to post blog smear, and I certainly don't take most of it as fact...
Yes, it would seem that every rumor about Palin that someone has managed to make up has made it onto the news. It's the vicious liberal circle. Liberals control the news media, they spend all day reading the kooky left wing sites, then that nonsense has a way of trickling out while their on the air.
In contrast I've heard virtually nothing in the MSM about the very questionable associations and dealings Obama has had in his past, going back to his college years to his years as a street provokater in Chicago.
