painting chrome parts

Clay bar is all you should need to take off the over spray. If its just the dust of the paint that got stuck somewhere else on the car, it doesn't really adhere to the paint, so just claying will suffice.

what about this (whats left of a sticker) its stuck on the paint like crazy glue

He was kidding.

He is right though, it will take off the sticker residue, but will also take your paint off.

If you want to take it off safely, you can use goo gone or any clear coat safe adhesive remover

Looks really good and like marc said the headlights look very good nice and clean!

Don't put any film on the headlights IMO. It will probably burn/discolor from all the heat unless you switch to HIDs.

Even my HIDs melt away snow and ice in winter. People running Lamin-X on halogen fogs often end up burning the film - just google it.

chrome plate surround

is there a way I can take off the Lincoln sign to sand off the chrome there's about 1mm of chrome I cant get to IMG_2775.JPG

I used brake kleen to do my emblems. Let it soak a few times and it came of with a q tip. I had to wet sand them and spray them clear again. Then add the colors

you mean you used brake cleaner to help peel the emblem off? how did you put it back on double sided tape?

I used a thin flathead screwdriver to get the emblems off. Brake kleen for the paint and lincoln star paint and chrome removal. I used crazy clue to put them back on

Yeah, I used a heat gun plus a flat screw driver. Emblem was bad, ended up sanding the back and re-painting. I then re-attached it with 3M mounting tape.
