I'm looking to paint some plastic pieces to match the exterior paint. I have ext code DV which is the tundra. Anyway, I'm not gonna get into too much detail but it's more of an experiment - just to see if it works/how it looks. If it looks like crap, oh well I'll take it to a shop.

I was looking on this site:
https://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/place_order2.cgi

Anyone use any of these products before?

I was gonna get the
12.5 oz basecoat spray can to match the exterior paint
11.3 oz. SEM Adhesion Promoter (Spray Can)
11.8 oz. Catalyzed Clearcoat (Spray Can)

I'm thinking about painting the strut tower covers, engine cover and some other under the hood stuff. I was even thinking about perhaps painting some interior pieces if the under the hood stuff goes well although I'm only 50/50 on that.

Also, if the under the hood stuff looks good, I may paint my front bumper...it's beat to crap from rocks and stuff and I just want to clean it up a bit so it doesn't look so terrible - This is not a permanent fix and I understand the quality will be no where near "shop" quality but at this point it can't hurt (I've shown pics of the front bumper in previous threads). I'm mighty close to purchasing the LSE bumper - I've been saving and should have it within a few months - obviously that would be painted by a shop.

Yeah The LSE bumper is a MUST! I love it, you can catch me just starting at my WIP and thinking of what is next to do. I also want to paint the back&front grill, Lower valances and light buckets and insert some halo's. Was going to paint it myself but the shop I got my bumper done said just prep it yourself bring it in 50 bucks later it will be painted . Was going to paint it myself but for 50 bones couldn't pass up the offer

Wow, that is a great price. Mine has a decent amount of damage so I would obviously fill the holes and sand smooth and stuff but I still couldn't find a price as low as that for them to just paint it - plus like I said, I only have to deal with it for a few months so to put it bluntly, I'm not looking for showroom quality - just something I can do on a weekend and make it look better.

Well I paid 250 for them to paint the bumper and he's will charge me 50 for the small pieces. Paintscratch matches it pretty good that is what I was going to order to so my small stuff

I just painted my engine plenum cover, strut covers, and fuse cover. A member posted interior pictures that he painted. I have considered painting the wood grain pieces. But I like the woodgrain steering wheel and shift knob to much.

BTW Body shops like easy money. Cash.:) No receipt.:) They will cut you a deal to paint anything.:D
