Has anybody else done this? Thought about it? Hope these guys don't mind I used pics of their cars. Just wanted to see how this would look.

all of the black along the lower part of the car is color matched...

It looks good, but that's very pricey, the plastic, due to the type used requires a lot of prep to get the base coat to adhere.

well... what I said is done too!! Errrr wait... LSE... those are painted. DUH

I was kinda hoping someone with better photoshop capabilities might chime in with a better picture here. :p
I think ill have this done on my bumper when it gets painted anyway. I kinda like the way it matches with the headlights.
Ill just have to find a newer grille with the full chrome surround. Not the LSE grille, I think that's just too much chrome for a silver car.

In my experience, plastic of just about any type requires a good amount of prep in order to be painted properly.

I was referring to the plastic pieces that run along the bottom of the car... which, this being an LSE are actually supposed to be painted. I was thinking along the lines of a normal LS. That plastic has some sort of oil in it or something which requires more prep than normal. But anyway, it's all irrelevant

If you have the original I'll take a stab at it.

Yeah, they have quite a few there. :p What is it they say about birds of a feather? hehe

Well I was thinking of painting the rocker panels too in the spring. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind.
