So I know what it probably is, but it's between the O2 sensor or an ignition coil. What are your thoughts???

Probably the O2 sensor.
(Of course coils are always a good bet too. It could be both.)

I was planning on replacing the coils once I get the rest of my financial aid money later this coming week or the following week. I have a 3 month, 3000 mile warranty on the car ($200 deductible). Will an O2 sensor cost less or more than that $200 deductible?

is there anything else wrong with the car if soo then add all the issues and it may be worth the deductible.

Could this also be caused by a misaligned fuel cap? I undid the fuel cap, put it back on, and the CEL went out.

So why did the light go out when I put the cap back on when there wasn't a separate code for the fuel cap?

Coincidence.
There are separate codes for fuel tank system air leaks.
P0440, or P0442 for example.

Your cap either wasn't really loose or it wasn't loose for long enough to trip a code. I've never heard of "misaligned fuel cap." You just stick it in and twist it clockwise slightly.

There is an actual warning sign that lights up on the dash, it's on the most right, lower side. ( #14 )

PINPOINT TEST AA: THE CHECK FUEL CAP INDICATOR IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ON

Once the check fuel cap indicator does turn on, it does not turn off unless the fuel cap
has been correctly secured and the vehicle has been driven for several minutes

I'll have to double check in the morning if mine even has this ... haven't seen half these options.

EDIT: My bad, there would be the Message center display positioned there instead.

oddly enough, that is the Instrument Cluster (Standard) shown above

and this is the Instrument Cluster (Optional)

The V6s have the gas cap light. The V8 have a "check gas cap" message. Even if it had been the gas cap, the light wouldn't go back off until a drive cycle or two. It can't instantly detect if there is or isn't a leak. It takes a little time, especially if the tank is not full.
