Well my 02 LS Sport now has 194k miles. Been through all the small things, but overall I was very happy with it, and it drives like the day I bought it 11 years ago when it only had 22k on it. Im keeping the 02 also.

I just bought a nice 06 LS w/Navi after looking for 3 months. Odd as it is, the 02 drives better to me. I can feel a little acceleration difference, giving the 06 the edge but, the 02 just plain drives better to me every where else. Odd as it is, contrary, to what I read, the 02 is also more quite, and smoother, and easier to drive than the 06. Also on my 02 I sit in the seat and I love it. On the 06 I'm sitting on top of the seat, as if its fighting me and trying to push me out. The Tranny that I read was much improved on the 04-06, double shifts at times, is jerky, and all most has a feel of shuttering. The 02 shifts like butter, has no jerk and no shutter. FYI, I had the 06 Tranny checked out by 2 Lincoln dealers and a Tranny shop. Nothings wrong with it they say.

I'm going to give it some time tho, because the 06 has a mix bag of new different front than rear Goodyear tires on it, and they maybe the reason that the 02 is more quite, and smoother being it has Michelin Touring tires.

So here is one dumb ass thing I could not figure out. What the hell do the white clear part of the rear taillights do? Should they light up for any function???

Turn signals, unless you mean the ones on the trunk lid (those do not light up).

Cool! Post some pics!

Here are some basic one. I'll be doing some slight, sound system, performance, and other little mods in time.

If I were to buy another LS....I'm on my second...that's what I would pick up! I like it!

Thanks. Looking for a Blk/Blk Navi with air curtains, last year 06 1 owner, no accident, service documented under 50k miles, was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. LOL!

Add= at a good price $$$$!

The 06 is going to be a big time 51k miles, "Garage Queen", soft Mods project car:).

Probably for aesthetics.

I'm thinking about wiring in LED backup lights in there somehow. But then I bet that will make the Diagnostics system check inside code a light failure?

Wire it in to the pigtail connector for a cleaner job, but as far as setting off a blown light indicator it should not. As long as there is current draw at the original bulb location, there shouldn't be an issue. I always wire in a diode to any LED project I do just for good measures.

Yep. It'll never detect the minor extra load of the LED.

did you try to disconnect the battery over night and then reconnect. this restarts the learning process of the tranny maybe that will help. also there is a slight lag when going full throttle on the gen2 due to the drive by wire system. I noticed that right away when I had my gen1 and now gen2

Yea, I've got a list of 100 things to do. I'm going to change out all the fluids with Ford fluids. Including a Trans fluid exchange drain and fill, and adding the Ford conditioner. Clearing the Computer is on my list. When I can get around to it then doing 3-4 straight hard 0-60 starts.

Reconed the Black Leather seats this a.m. They had some minor white scratches and were hard as hell. All looking new now. Posted some pics in the what you did to your LS Thread. Trying to figure out what to do about that cheap crappy chessy Sliver Dash Paint. Its Sucks!

Drove the 06 this a.m. to the store. I'm getting use to it. The Noisy, Noisy tires might be 50% of the problems. They with be replaced with Michelins soon. Thank for you Guys help!!!
