overheating again?! onw to welfare classes none the less!

i jus posted a lists of parts i need n im n trouble. driving home from work my car spikes and ses engine reduce power cuz my temps high. 2 weeks ago i replaced my thermostat, degas bottle, and fixed a crack n my thermo housing. granted it was a JB weld but it held fine. now w. this problem i checked hoses with no success, housing was dry, and couldnt find leaks. after the overheating i assumed my JB weld looks fine and performed for a while, but was temporary n needs the new jag housing or im missing a leak but i cant find it any help on diagnosing and determining problem? p1299 and p1597 alos showed after problem. i no the overheating head(p1299) not sure on the other code. ne nput wood help this is my daily and i HAVE ro b 2 welfare classes for my 4 month old daughter. Sorry to have a sob story but shes my 1st n im on extreme dad mode. thnx as usual guys.

did you properly burb the cooling system VIA the crossover tube? is your fan turning on? i would start checking the fans function-ability to operate.

P1597 looks like a cruise control code. I suppose it could be from a bad clockspring.

Epoxy on poly-e is not a good long term hold, but as mentioned an air pocket will do the same. If you replace the tank get the Motorcraft one. Tasca or Rock Auto for a good price.

i hope to god my tank isnt cracked agen but if it is im def gettn the motorcraft. before i install ill coat the exterior in epoxy lol. i have the jag housing in front of me so it will be replaced and ill thorougly check hoses for leaks.

Epoxy is a bad idea on parts that expand and contract.

I would think it would make it worse.
