This indicates that you may have air leak on the engine somewhere between the MAF and the cylinder heads or between the exhaust manifold and O2 sensor (although I doubt this since you aren't reporting that the car is louder than before), or a fueling issue like dirty injectors, clogged fuel filter or a failing fuel pump. Since I assume it was running OK before the trip and it just came on, if the car's not acting strange otherwise I would say you're safe to drive it home as-is. No road races though, as a lean engine can burn through a piston.
For the trip home put a bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner in before you head home. You might also go ahead and change the fuel filter if you have the facilities to, then make sure you don't fuel up on the way home at any place you fueled up at on the way out. It just takes one tank to foul a filter and you were filling up at unfamiliar places assuming you went further than one tank out. It's also possible to get bad gas at an otherwise dependable station if you buy at the same time the fuel truck is refilling the tanks as the filling process will stir up any trash in the station's tank. It takes about a half hour for it to all settle out. When you get home, clear the codes then see if they return. If they do we can proceed with the next step when you get home.
