I've searched about the beeping noises. I have experienced the regular phantom beep a couple times. The beep I am about to bring up is not the message center beep.

When I am at moderate acceleration (not light, not WOT) and the car is shifting from 1st to 2nd I will hear this beep noise. It is a very high pitched beeping so it is difficult to pinpoint the source. It only happens once per startup: the first time it shifts from 1st to 2nd during moderate acceleration.

It has beep going on for the longest time, I just dismissed it as a weird quirk. The other day a buddy asked what it was and I laughed and said no idea. So I've been getting more and more curious. Anyone else experience this other phantom beep? Again, not really concerned, just curious. My apologies for the ramble.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery cables, let it sit for 15 minutes,
hook them back up and see if that did anything ?

You have THX nav correct?

If so, that is normal, unfortunately. Ford has indicated that there is no fix for this. It's some sort of conflict between the nav and AdvanceTrac. Mine happens the first time (after startup) that the engine passes 2500 RPM while driving.

Yup. Same here. I thought it was just an '06 issue; guess not. It appears the tone only emanates from the left front speaker. One of these days I'm going to figure out a fix!
