I'm about to order them tonight. I'd like to go with 6k or 8k. What's your opinions on them and do you have a pic of one or the other? Also, it's the 9006 that I use right? (low beam).
THanks
Keith

9006 is the low beam if you have a 1st gen.9005 is for the highs.I have 6k Xetronic Digital HID. BTW xenonking.com screwed me... I would go with a vendor that supports LVC like LSK etc.etc.etc.

I have 6K in lows and fogs. Still classy without being too blue:

Except when you first turn them on, before they heat up:

Oh, the bulbs are 9006 for lows, 9005 for brights. I used the 9005 in the fogs too. These are for the 2000-2002 model years. Newer models have different bulbs.

Hey Pete, I am surprised those fogs shine blue like that during the day for 6000K. It is strange because I have the 6500K for the fogs and they are all white during with just a hint of blue. It must be because of the lighting.

Nope, mine shine pretty white. in the pictures, they had only been on for maybe 30 seconds. after a few minutes, they turn the color you described.

On another note, you take some badass pics of your car. I like the one in your new avatar!

i have 8000k but i wish i went with 6000k instead i dont like the blurple anymore

Remember, the higher K number the lower the light output will be. Typically, 4300K is what you see in cars from the factory. Anything higher than that you will lose light output and they will NOT be very bright.

+1 get 4300K, looks alot classier and it wont make it harder to see at night.

+2

Around here with all of the critters out at night, I prefer to see further down the road. You think a deer does damage try cow or horse/mustang.

Yes, nothing above 6k. I see allot of people using those blue lights more and more every night. IMO they are very ugly and tasteless in all ways. Even while sitting next to one at a light I noticed they don't emit light that far down the road at all. It was only a few feet.

And come one, I might be a n00b but even on a blue car they really serve no purpose as far as extra looks go.
