Opinoins and suggestions please.

Alright, I bought my head unit, and before I get it all done up, I need to know a couple of things. first off the background is I got a really sweet deal on the Alpine IVA-W200 (http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=IVA-W200) Really good deal and everything. 854, with install, all necessary wires, iPod connector ($30.00) and Warranty. I have a 300 Watt power-inverter that I want to put in my car as well.

For some reason the rest of that didn't follow. The main purpose of this whole post was to ask if this will affect my overall battery power in the car? Where should I mount the inverter? and finally, will all of this power eventually lead to the death of my alternator?

Your alternator will be fine. As long as you don't deep cycle the battery it'll be fine too.
